It has a stack of service history including all the old MOT’s. - MOT expired Nov 2022 – it has been dry stored since then – see below for MOT failure sheet from 10th December 24 Repair immediately (major defects): Windscreen washer not working both, no pump noise (3.5 (a)) Brake pedal has insufficient reserve travel (1.1.2 (a)) Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively both (3.4 (b) (ii)) Rear Brakes imbalanced across an axle nearside behind (1.2.1 (b) (i)) Nearside Rear Service brake excessively binding (1.2.1 (f)) Rear Brakes imbalanced across an axle Axle 2 (1.2.1 (b) (i)) Repair as soon as possible (minor defects): Nearside Front Tyre obviously under inflated (5.2.3 (l)) Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Nearside Front Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) - Brake pedal needs to be pressed quite far down for the brakes to work – needs attention as per MOT. Ford Focus - 1.6 TDCi Style 5dr - Clutch failed hence priced for
I am selling this well maintained Focus estate which suffered a clutch failure in February. The failure is loss of pressure in the hydraulic system not the clutch itself. I have not investigated whether it is slave or master cylinder or just a leaky pipe. Up until then the car was in daily use by a member of the household. They were already in the market for a newer car so the repair has not been done. The MOT expired a week or two later but I have no reason to expect any serious problem with getting a new MOT. There are a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes to the exterior. The interior is clean and tidy. The radio works and I have full records of all work done since we bought the car in May 2011. I believe there is life left in this car but have priced it for spares or repair to get it off the drive. Please contact me for further details or any questions.
