MOT expired. Many repairs needed before presenting for MOT. Known issues are: Faulty oxygen sensor causing engine fault light to be on. Crankcase breather pipe split. Wishbone bushes worn and pulling out of bush sleeves. Track rod ends and gaitors need replacing. Corroded central exhaust mount. Passenger side window switch missing. Front and rear valances show signs of crazing but are structurally ok. Needs 4 new tyres. We have had previous welding repairs made to both sills to pass previous MOTs. Car was running fine before expiry of MOT 14 June 2025. Car is very presentable inside and out. This is a 19 year old car that requires work to get back on the road. AK06TKV has a displayed mileage of 144,000 miles but actual milage is 70 to 80 K. Previous owner had to have the immobilisor replaced with a used item that came with different displayed mileage on the dash. The interior is in very good condition throughout. However the EML came on and is related to the Turbo, which we would suggest needs a re build (We normally use Midland Turbo at Nottingham) and there is a leak from the steering rack. It will probably want track rod ends and no doubt a drop link or 2 and the Air Conditioning does not blow cold (We have not investigated why). The car has been used daily until the MOT Expiring. The Customer has decided they do not wish to spend on the repairs (as they can not do it themselves) and has purchased a Mk4 CR-V from us. The interior needs a clean, the exterior is still very straight and shiny with just the small scuff to one bumper. All the leather is intact as are the door cards and armrests which are common for wearing through (We had them replaced in 2022) So it's up for Sale as a Spares or Repairs vehicle only to someone that has the skills and know how to replace / fix the steering rack and whip the turbo off, send it to midland turbo for a rebuild and put it back on etc. Or have a mate that will do it very cheaply for you. If you are after a cheap reliable car that is mechanically perfect then here it is! It has no knocks, issues, warning lights etc. Last years couple of advisories were immediately taken care off. It will fly thru its next MOT, it’s only done 2000 miles since its last MOT! It will average 55 mpg and 65+ mpg on a run. Road Tax is £13 a month. Insurance is very cheap. Vauxhall Meriva - 1.4i 16v Life 5dr - 11 Months MOT, Great First Car
Our trusty Vauxhall Meriva, this has been my wife's car for the past 4 years and 15k miles. Overall, a fantastic car that has had no expense spared whilst in our ownership. I have spent in excess of three grand on servicing and MOT's. Has had a full exhaust, all 4 springs, rear calipers, brake pads all round, tyres all round, more recently suspension struts, top mounts, anti roll bars and a CV Boot. JUst over 300 miles ago it had a full service including spark plugs, so its good for another 12 months. Recently also had uprated front headlight bulbs. Interior of the car is immaculate, has been looked after and has seat covers so the seats underneath look brand new. Car also comes with a USB stereo which we never had fitted as the company sent us the wrong wiring harness (easy fix). The bodywork is not the best, has been well looked after but some kind person in a white van got too close to the drivers door and has put a kink in the door (see pics). With a good polish and wax, its not really noticeable, apart from that, its a straight car. The roof has some laquer peel, which I will attempt to polish and put a coat of wax on to help protect from the elements. Only other issue is the rear door window on the passenger side had a failed regulator, so we had our mechanic fix the window in place. Its fixable with a new manual regulator but never bothered us. Comes with 2 keys (one remote, one broken remote) and as much paperwork as I can find. Tyre's all in great condition (2 almost brand new) All recent MOT's and services are here. A fantastic spacious family car with a great boot and low mileage, starts at the turn of the key and drives straight and true. Would be a great first car for someone or for a family who want a reliable, well maintained car for the school run. Any questions, please let me know.

The only bit I’d advise is the bumper clips could do with being swapped, they always go in these as they are brittle plastic, really cheap, less than £8 on eBay and a very simple DIY click in job, nothing to shout about and you don’t actually need to do it, just me being OCD! Its just had a brand new set of wheel trim covers as the old ones were past their best. These look really nice! It comes with Electric Heated Rear Screen, Stereo CD Radio, Smartphone Charging Point, 2x Cup Holders, Tilt & Slide Steering Wheel, Drop Down Rear Bench Seat etc The price is strictly £1250. Its had more than that spent on it over the last couple of years alone keeping it in perfect mechanical shape.
