I really wish I didn't have to sell this car, I love it a lot, but unfortunately, the time has come. I just don't have the time or knowledge to maintain the vehicle the way it deserves, so I am looking for someone to give it the TLC it needs. Rover 75 Classic SE CDT Black 2L Diesel 2002 ~74,000 SORN & MOT Expired No optional extras or modifications fitted Last service over a year ago Condition: Tired, but not in bad condition. A few minor scrapes and marks but could probably be detailed out. Minor electric issue, possibly a loose wire, causing the indicator light to speed up on occasion. Battery flat. The engine is in beautiful condition, purrs and runs wonderfully, and the gearbox is still as smooth as silk. Interior is good but has a bit of wear from age. The car currently has one MAJOR ISSUE - the rear brakes are not functioning, i.e., there is no working handbrake. I have the parts required to fix the issue but haven't been able to find the time to do it. Once the rear brakes have been fixed, this car will run and operate wonderfully. Thanks to the low mileage, it'll keep going for years and years to come! I also have some additional spare parts and Haynes manual that will be included. Needs a new chain and would be a great project for someone (competent mechanic) to get it back on the road (no sign of any damage, no noise when it failed, car just lost power but head not removed yet). Quite good condition for age, as can be seen in the photos (some signs of age, as you would expect). Owned since 2 years old but don't have the time to do the chain myself, so selling to a good home. It is mechanically sound, has averaged less than 5,000 miles per year, way beneath average! It starts, stops, drives excellent with no unwanted knocks, leaks or warning light! It is amazing in fuel, a full tank is approx £40 and you will get 50+ MPG around town and 70+ MPG on a run. The annual Road Tax is only £20 per year! It would suit either a first driver or someone needing it as a reliable daily run about. You cannot get a lower insurance rated car, it’s group one, the lowest! It’s certainly not a brand new car and does have age related marks totally consummate with age but nothing exciting. It actually polishes up really well! The only bit I’d advise is the bumper clips could do with being swapped, they always go in these as they are brittle plastic, really cheap, less than £8 on eBay and a very simple DIY click in job, nothing to shout about and you don’t actually need to do it, just me being OCD! Its just had a brand new set of wheel trim covers as the old ones were past their best. These look really nice! It comes with Electric Heated Rear Screen, Stereo CD Radio, Smartphone Charging Point, 2x Cup Holders, Tilt & Slide Steering Wheel, Drop Down Rear Bench Seat etc The price is strictly £1250. Its had more than that spent on it over the last couple of years alone keeping it in perfect mechanical shape.
